Any Direct Marketing campaign, promoting products and services in the automotive sector, including car manufacturers, fleet operators, leasing companies, dealer groups or individual dealerships. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or campaign.

2. Best Fundraising

Any Direct Marketing campaign, including donor acquisition, donor retention, taxback and corporate fundraising, for registered charities. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or campaign.

3. Best Financial & Insurance

Any Direct Marketing campaign from the financial services sector promoting products or services from loans, savings and investments, to credit cards, pensions and insurance products. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or campaign.

4. Best FMCG

Any Direct Marketing campaign, promoting consumer packaged goods brands, including foodstuffs, confectionary, beverages, pet food, personal care and other general household products. Entries may be for a single communication or campaign.

5. Best IT & Technology

Any Direct Marketing campaign, promoting IT & Technology products or services, from computing to technological solutions. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or campaign.

6. Best Pharmaceutical / Healthcare

Any Direct Marketing campaign, promoting products and services from pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or campaign.

7. Best Retail

Any Direct Marketing campaign promoting products and services from retail and shopping outlets including supermarket chains to local retail businesses to online retailers. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or campaign.

8. Best Telecoms

Any Direct Marketing campaign, promoting products and services from telecommunications or utility services providers. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or campaign.

9. Best Travel & Entertainment

Any Direct Marketing campaign, promoting the travel and entertainment sector, from transport, tourism, holiday and travel firms to the sports and entertainment business to health centres. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or an entire campaign.

10. Best Utility

A Direct Marketing campaign, promoting products and services from a utility service provider. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or campaign.

1. Best Direct Mail Low Volume

Any Direct Marketing campaign using direct mail with a volume of less than 2,000 units promoting any product or service in any sector. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or campaign.

2. Best Direct Mail High Volume

Any Direct Marketing campaign using direct mail with a volume of more than 2,000 units promoting any product or service in any sector. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or campaign.

3. Best Unaddressed Mail

Any Direct Marketing campaign using unaddressed direct mail (leaflet advertising) in any sector. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or campaign.

4. Best Billing Communication

Any Direct Marketing campaign that accompanies bills (e.g.: bill inserts) to promote any product or service in any sector. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or campaign.

5. Best Social Media Campaign

Any Direct Marketing campaign using social media to promote any product or service in any sector. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or an entire campaign. Entries must be submitted either as a digital file on CD or as a web address with any usernames/passwords where relevant.

6. Best Mobile Marketing Campaign (Apps, SMS, MMS, Mobile Ads)

Any Direct Marketing campaign using mobile marketing including apps, SMS, MMS, and Mobile Ads to promote any product or service in any sector. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or an entire campaign. Entries must be submitted either as a digital file on CD or as a web address with any usernames/passwords where relevant.

7. Best Email Marketing Campaign

Any Direct Marketing campaign using email marketing to promote any product or service in any sector. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or an entire campaign. Entries must be submitted either as a digital file on CD or as a web address with any usernames/passwords where relevant.

8. Best Viral Campaign

Any digital campaign aimed at the Business or Consumer Sector and designed to generate a response and/or stimulate positive Word of Mouth. Genuine innovation and engagement are essential for success as is a clear explanation of how the campaign was seeded, how it spread and how it drove desired response. Entries must be submitted either as a digital file on CD or as a web address with any usernames/passwords where relevant.

9. Best Direct Mail & Digital

Any Direct Marketing campaign that strongly integrates both direct mail and digital media (email, mobile, online, social media, viral) to promote any product or service in any sector. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or campaign.

10. Best Integrated Campaign

Any integrated marketing campaign, using a mix of media from direct mail, TV, radio, press, outdoor, digital or SMS, to promote any product or service in any sector. Entries may be for business or consumer campaigns.

1. Best Acquisition

Any Direct Marketing campaign that generates leads and/or orders, drives traffic, or builds a database. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or campaign.

2. Best New Product or Service Launch

Any Direct Marketing campaign that launches a new product or service in any sector. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or campaign.

3. Best Loyalty Campaign

Any Direct Marketing campaign that defends market share using retention and loyalty strategies. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or campaign.

4. Best CRM Programme

Any CRM programme that used Direct Marketing to increase customer value, understanding and involvement, as well as long-term profitability. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives, and must form a programme of activities.

5. Best Data Strategy

Any Direct Marketing campaign that demonstrates best use of data, from understanding of customer behaviour that provides insight, to strategic targeting for successful communications. Entries may initiatives and can be for a single communication or campaign.

6. Best Brand Building

Any Direct Marketing campaign that develops brand awareness perceptions and attitudes amongst prospects and/or customers. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or campaign.

1. Best First-Time Use

This category covers best first time use of Direct Marketing by a company, product or service in any market sector. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or campaign.

2. Best Low Budget

This category will be awarded to any Direct Marketing campaign with a budget of less than €10,000 promoting any product or service in any sector. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or campaign.

3. Best Start-Up / Small Business Award

This category will be awarded to a start-up or small business (0-49 employees) for a Direct Marketing campaign that promotes their product or service. Entries may be for business or consumer initiatives and can be for a single communication or campaign.

4. Best Agency Self Promotion

This category is awarded to an agency that has demonstrated how they would use direct mail to promote their business in an innovative way. The winner of this award will have the print, fulfilment and postage of their campaign paid for by An Post to a value of €5,000. To enter, submit your creative concept with the 'Best Self Promotion' entry form.

5. Best Over-All Creative

This will be awarded to those responsible for creating the most creative Direct Marketing campaign in any market sector. This category is not open to entry. All entries in other categories will be judged to find the one piece of work that speaks for itself!

6. Supplier of the Year

This category is awarded to a supplier of Direct Marketing that has stood out and demonstrated their contribution to driving growth and development in the Direct Marketing industry. 3rd party suppliers will need to enter this award using the 'Supplier of the Year' entry form to showcase their work in 2011 and prove that they are worthy of this award.

7. Agency of the Year

This category is awarded to an agency that has stood out and demonstrated their contribution to driving growth and development in the Direct Marketing industry. This category is not open to entry, judges' decision final.
